Abandoned late 18th century 2-storey house. Hipped roof with central valley; two off-centre brick chimneys. Entrance front (W) of 5- bays; camber-headed sash windows; central round-headed door ope with fanlight and sidelights incorporated into frame. Two bays deep; S elevation weatherslated. Named Ballyvisteale House on 1935 OS 6-inch map. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
