Single-arch former railway bridge spanning River Ilen, opened 1893. Now in use as pedestrian bridge. Wrought-iron box girder construction supported by concrete slabs.

A fine example of the quality of craftsmanship employed by railway companies in the construction of their utilitarian structures. This bridge is a reminder of the railway heritage of Skibbereen and was opened (1893) as part of the extension of the Cork, Bandon and South Coast Railway line to Baltimore. Prominently sited, it forms a pleasing feature in the landscape.
