Single-arch railway bridge, built 1886, carrying accommodation track over former Carrickmacross Branch railway line. Elliptical arch. Snecked rock-faced rusticated stone walls, piers and parapets having cut-stone string course and copings to parapet walls. Red brick stretcher bond soffit, with headers forming archivolt. Gauged brick copings to parapet walls terminating at north and south ends with cut-stone piers with cut-stone copings.

This well-constructed bridge over the former Great Northern Railway line has an impressive brick vault to its under side. It continues a tradition of railway infrastructure constructed using traditional arch methods. The Carrickmacross branch (Inishkeen-Carrickmacross) was closed in the mid-twentieth century. A bridge of similar construction can be seen one kilometre to the west at Garlegobban and two kilometres north-east in Kednaminsha.
