Three-arch road bridge over river, extant 1825[?]. Part repointed coursed rubble limestone walls retaining sections of roughcast surface finish centred on triangular cutwaters to piers having domed pyramidal capping with tooled hammered limestone rounded coping to parapets. Series of three round or segmental arches with cut-limestone voussoirs. Sited spanning canalised Westport or Carrowbeg River.

A bridge representing an integral component of the civil engineering heritage of Westport with the architectural value of the composition, one illustrated in "Town of Westport and Clew Bay, Ireland" (1825) by James Arthur O'Connor (1792-1841), suggested not only by the rough cut limestone dressings demonstrating good quality workmanship, but also by the "sweep" of the arches making a pleasing visual statement at a crossing over the canalised Westport or Carrowbeg River.
