Single-arch former railway bridge, built 1887, supporting wide and gently arched deck, north-west parapet curves gentle outwards. Former sunken railway line filled in to level of top of arch, upper rock-faced voussoirs still visible. Spandrel walls of rock-faced squared rubble stone, rectangular-profile piers to ends on string course. Parapets surmounted by Scotch copings, painted metal railing on top of parapet to south side. North-west end of parapet replaced by concrete block wall with projecting course. Now bypassed by new road, and providing access to housing cul de sac.

The well-executed stone railway bridge that is an excellent example of the high quality design and masonry employed by the railway companies in the nineteenth century. It forms part of the county's civil engineering heritage, and is an interesting reminder of the extent of the rail network in the past. It forms part of a group with other railway structures and buildings along the line.
