A natural spring well, removed during roadworks prior to 1958 (Ó Danachair 1958, 73; Healy 1975, 20). St Catherine's Well (DU008-017----) lies 110m to the NW. Described by Ó Danachair (1958, 73) as; 'This well was much visited in former times, but was recently destroyed in road widening operations. A pump on the roadside seems to be from the same spring'.
