Clear Island in Clare holds a chamber built from four stones and one large roof. It lies on a north-facing shelf of rough pasture, waiting for rain and memory. The boulder still covers the small room beneath it.

Boulder-burial, likely dating to the Neolithic or early Bronze Age. This type of tomb is significant as it represents a rare and early form of megalithic funerary practice in the region.
