Toberglorie, a Benedictine priory dedicated to St Thomas the Martyr, stood within the Demesne of Down beside Downpatrick during the twelfth century. Monks likely walked wet grass and chanted in darkness, binding their lives to a saint who bled for belief. The earth still holds the shape of that devotion, waiting for someone to listen before speaking.
