Detached single-storey with attic limestone school master's house, built c. 1870, now derelict. Half-hipped slate roof, clay ridge and hip tiles, chimney missing from north end of ridge, gabled dormer, projecting eaves on exposed rafter ends, painted timber fascias, painted timber projecting bargeboards. Squared rubble walling, tooled ashlar quoins. Square-headed window openings, red brick surrounds, stone sills, windows boarded-up. Segmental-headed entrance door opening, square-headed rear door opening, red brick surrounds, painted timber vertically-sheeted doors. Set back from road edge, overgrown garden, former school building to east.

This former school master's house is a delightfully quirky structure quietly tucked away in the rural landscape. The high quality of craftsmanship in the masonry and distinctive half-hipped roof combine with details such as the dormer window to give architectural value. It shares similar themes with the nearby former school.
