Beinn Theine rises to approximately 650 metres and is part of the rugged terrain of the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll and Bute. Its name, meaning "Mountain of the Heather" in Gaelic, reflects the moorland vegetation typical of the region. The hill contributes to the local landscape's character and may have historical significance for nearby settlements.
