Beinn an Fhaireachaidh rises to approximately 500 metres and is part of the rugged landscape of the Western Isles. Its name, meaning "Hill of the Fairies" in Scottish Gaelic, reflects local folklore associating the area with supernatural or otherworldly beings. The mountain contributes to the cultural and geographical identity of the Na h-Eileanan Siar archipelago.
