Bawn in Graystown

Bawn

What is recorded here

Bawn in Graystown is a vanished fortress hidden in ordinary grassland north of Graystown castle. Its sixty-metre stone edges still hold the shape of a house, two buildings and a wide enclosed yard, while a deserted medieval settlement waits in the field below. People may have watched roads, fields and passing danger from that low rocky rise before forgetting the names of everyone who lived there.
