Bawn in Gleninagh North is a low grassed-over stony spread beside Gleninagh tower house in County Clare. It runs nineteen metres with a sharp corner and six additional metres east, while faint scarp lines in the eastern field may mark a larger lost boundary. The bawn likely defined the tower house yard, keeping people, animals or work within a known distance during its active years.

The line of a possible bawn lies c. 10m W of Gleninagh tower house (CL002-007001-). A low grassed-over stony spread (Wth 1.3m; H 0.4m) is traceable for 19m NNW-SSE. At its NNW end it forms a corner and extends a further 6m to E. A couple of large facing stones are visible on its N face. There are no traces elsewhere around the tower house. A series of rectilinear scarp lines (H 0.4m) in the field to the E of the tower house may define an associated outer bawn. Compiled by: Mary Tunney Date of upload: 12 April 2019
