Battlefield

What is recorded here

One field in Wexford, split between two parishes, is still listed as a battlefield though no date or army is attached to the name. The division itself is the evidence: St Michael's and St Peter's still share the same ground, perhaps marking the line where opposing forces met or the boundary drawn after the fighting stopped. The absence of a date does not erase the event; it withholds the names and leaves the shape of the collision behind.
