Monsieu the battlefield in Drumbeo,drumgolat still lies hidden beneath County Monaghan soil, waiting for someone brave enough to walk its invisible lines. No date, no name, no blood account has reached us, only the shape of a place where collision once broke the air. Perhaps two neighbourhoods struck each other over a boundary stone or a stolen herd, and the fields swallowed every witness. The silence above it is not emptiness but a held breath, still tightening around what happened below.
