Carricknagat, Rinn, Bleachgreen, Collooney and Ardcotten form a single battlefield where violence broke the quiet of County Sligo. The names still scatter across the land like marks on a shield, preserving the shape of an event its details have mostly forgotten. To walk that stretch is to enter a room where people once stopped living ordinary lives and became weapons, witnesses or ghosts.
