Borough, Brownbog, Curragh, Eaglehill, Hacketstown Lower and Scotland form a single battlefield in County Carlow. The names suggest men from several townlands or regions clashed where the land still keeps the shape of that violence. What is missing is not a small gap; it is the heart of the story.
