What is recorded here

On a natural rise close to S bank of the River Suck. A large poorly preserved irregular enclosure (E-W 80m, N-S 52m) defined by a scarp. This appears to be partly natural from NW to NE, and partly artificial from NE to SE and from SW to NW: no trace of it survives from SE to SW. In the centre of the interior is a triangular flat-topped mound of earth and stone (L 3m, Wth 2.5m) with evidence of stone-facing along its E and S sides. According to OS 6-inch map, this is reputed to be the site of a battle. There is also a CBG (GA007-045003-) in the interior and a misceilaneous burial (GA007-0046----) lies immediately to S.
