What is recorded here

In wet pasture on the western side of Cromwell Hill. One of five ring-barrows (LI033-089001/05-) concentrated in N quadrant of field. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 109.01; AP 5/2021) as a ring-barrow. Monument is visible as a circular-shaped cropmark (diam. c. 8m) on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12 and on Google Earth orthoimage dated 20/09/2020. A Neolithic ring-barrow; part of a small barrow group. Its presence contributes to understanding of early prehistoric burial practices in the region.
