On a hilltop (OD 567 feet) in pasture, with panoramic views in all directions. A road bends and partially truncates the outer limits of the monument WNW-NNE. A low oval, central area (base diams. 9.7m E-W; 6.9m N-S; summit diams. 6m E-W; 4.4m N-S; H 0.1m at W-0.6m at E) is encircled by a broad level berm (Wth 12.2m at E-18.7m at N), enclosed by a shallow fosse (Wth 1.8m; D 0.4-0.6m) NW-E-S-SW, and by an outer earthen bank (int H 1.1-1.6m; Wth 3.3m at N-7.7m at S: ext. diams. 54m E-W; 54m N-S). Rubble is dumped on the central mound and clay is dumped on the outer bank and fosse at WNW. Wire and post fencing is erected on the outer bank along the N and runs immediately inside and outside the bank at NE. A telephone pole stands on the outer bank at E. The latest ed. (1939-40) of the OS 6-inch map records a Man-made underground passage (KD029-021002-) in the interior of the monument.
