In flat wet boggy pasture with relatively clear views in all directions due to low lying terrain. Since being visited in 1987, this and neighbouring fields has been planted with forestry, a buffer being left around the monument. An oval, raised platform (max. dims. 22m N-S; 19m E-W; H 1.2-1.4m), enclosed by berm (Wth c. 8.5m) with an outer bank (Wth c. 3.5m; int. H 0.2-0.3m; ext. H 0.6m). There is no entrance. Though originally classified as a platform rath, the morphology suggests it may be a stepped barrow. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 25 September 2017
