Barrow is a ring-barrow in County Cork, Ireland, where a levelled mound still marks the earth despite repeated ploughing. The site sits in a field called Fort Field, suggesting people long remembered it as a place of strength or gathering rather than a forgotten heap. Its shallow arc and nearby companion barrow hint that the land once held a whole circle of lives, rituals, or claims now worn smooth by time.
In pasture, on gentle ESE-facing slope. Bowman (1934, 467) recorded levelled 'tumulus' on J. Collin's land. 'Diameter of surrounding fence, 49 feet: Diameter of base of mound, 31 feet' (ibid.). Ring barrow (CO021-027---) in same field c. 30m to SSE.
