Situated on the top of a slight natural rise in gently undulating grassland, with good views to SE-SW and NW. Concentric enclosure (WM012-194---) 170m to W, ringfort (WM012-195---)145m to SW, earthwork (WM012-197----) 120m to NE. A circular-shaped, flat-topped mound (approx. diam. 10m NW-SE; overall ext. diam. 18m NW-SE) enclosed by a wide shallow fosse and external bank. The field fence which forms the townland boundary with Clonkill intersects the perimeter of the monument from NW-SE. The monument has been quarried away on the E side of this fence. Portion of the bank has also been quarried away at SW. Monument placed on the Register of Historic Monuments on the 13/05/1986.
