In pasture, 17m W of townland boundary with Garrison, 105m E and 250m N of townland boundary with Ballynaclough. Ring-barrow (LI024-183----) lies 210m to NE. Not depicted on OS historical mapping. Identified by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 35; AP 4/3672) as a small circular cropmark of a possible ring-barrow. Cropmark is visible on OSi orthophotos taken 2005-2012, on Digital Earth orthophotos taken 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 18/11/2018. A ring-barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age, associated with burial practices in the Irish landscape. Its identification by the Bruf survey highlights its contribution to understanding prehistoric funerary architecture in the region.
