What is recorded here

In pasture, on top of rise is generally level terrain. A circular, flat topped mound (H 2m; diam. c. 6m at crest, c. 12m at base) with a concentric fosse (D 0.45m; Wth 1.4m) at its base. There is a ledge halfway up the N side of the mound from which a ramp leads up to the summit. The mound is covered by scrub overgrowth. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 26 August 2011
A Neolithic ring-barrow, c. 4000–2500 BCE, characterized by its circular flat-topped mound and concentric fosse. Such monuments are significant as early funerary and ceremonial structures, reflecting communal burial practices and social organization in prehistoric Ireland.
