In improved pasture, 195m SSE of a townland boundary with Ballinscoola (Cahercorney) and an area of boggy heath. A possible enclosure (LI032-257----) lies 95m TO NNW. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Monument identified by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 185: AP 4/3608) as a circular-shaped mound enclosed by a fosse. Upstanding monument visible as an oval-shaped earthwork (82m E-W; 79m N-S) with a roughly circular-shaped central mound (32m E-W; 30m N-S) enclosed by three fosses with two intervening banks, as seen on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012, on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 20/09/20. Monument is also visible as same on oblique aerial images (ASIAP 351, 8 & 9) taken 05/01/2003.
