Barrow, mound barrow

What is recorded here

On a slight rise overlooking a basin S-NW. Subcircular, gently rounded and grass-covered earthen mound (dims 20.2m N-S; 17.2m E-W; H 1.6-1.9m) curtailed slightly by a N-S field wall at E and with slight remains of field banks on the other sides. A Neolithic mound barrow; significant as a rare surviving example of early funerary earthworks in the region.
