At 567 feet above Ballybought, a compound ditch barrow holds its shape against pasture, road, and telephone pole. Its outer bank spans roughly 54 metres around a low central mound, a broad berm, and a shallow fosse, while a souterrain recorded inside suggests later people made practical use of the older funerary ground. The hilltop still gives views in every direction, as if burial and watchfulness shared one address.

Cropmark of small circular-shaped enclosure or possible ditch-barrow (approx. diam. 4m) visible on Google Earth aerial photograph taken 28/06/2018.
