In improved pasture on western side of old flood plain, just above it. Roughly circular area (dims. 4.5m N-S; 5.5m E-W) defined by shallow fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.1m). Linear depression (long-axis ENE-WSW) c. 4m to N. Identified as a ring-ditch on an aerial photograph (OS 2437 (mono)). Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
Ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its presence indicates a local funerary tradition associated with burial mounds and earthworks in lowland settings.
