Ballysaggartmore House

Single-arch rubble stone Gothic-style road bridge over path, c.1845. Random rubble stone walls with lime mortar, rubble stone piers (extending through parapet as pinnacles) having panelled buttresses, lancet-arch recessed panels over, cut-stone coping to parapets, and pointed-arch recessed niches to flanking abutments having stepped parapets over with cut-stone coping. Single pointed segmental arch with squared sandstone voussoirs, and squared rubble stone soffits having lime render over. Sited in grounds shared with Ballydsaggartmore House spanning path.

A picturesque bridge in a Gothic style that might be considered muted when compared with the more extravagant bridge nearby (22902014/WD-20-14). Well maintained, the bridge retains its original form and massing, and remains an important element of the Ballysaggartmore House estate.
