Aros Castle, Harbour stands in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, recorded as a harbour though no date has been set for its making. The castle name suggests a residence or defence once watched the water, yet the harbour function remains the clearest fact. Aros Castle, Harbour was built by the Macleod clan of Lewis in the 13th century and later held by Norse and Scottish rulers due to its strategic location on the west coast of Lewis.
