What is recorded here
Ardscalpsie Point is a headland composed primarily of Devonian sandstone, formed around 400 to 360 million years ago through the deposition and lithification of sediment in ancient river and delta systems. It is notable for its resistant rock formations that have withstood coastal erosion, contributing to the dramatic sea cliffs characteristic of the Argyll and Bute coastline.
