What is recorded here

Seven medieval fragments remain embedded in the west porch wall of a rectangular church on the north slope of Three Rock Mountain. They are not display pieces, museum trophies or decorative insets. They are the surviving visible body of the older church, caught inside the newer one. The building has become a vessel for its own lost ancestor.

Situated on the N slope of Three Rock Mountain on the S side Kilgobbin Lane, near Stepaside Village. A rectangular church (DU025-016001-) with a porch at the W end of the N wall. Attached to the inner face of the W wall of the church porch are seven architectural fragments (DU025-016008-/009-/010-) from the medieval church.
