What is recorded here

Inserted in a wall over the garden gate at St. John's House. According to Bradley et al. (1986a, vol. 1, 57-8, Fig. 19), the twin light round-headed limestone window with diamond shaped openings in a central spandrel, with jambs having glazing bar slots and grooved recesses, was probably associated with the levelled Priory of St. Thomas and Hospital of St. John - Fratres Cruciferi (KD035-022006-). A carved limestone head (probably of recent date) is placed above the window. Compiled by: Gearóid Conroy Date of upload: 11 December 2013
