Anomalous stone group in Rowgarrane is a lost place. Lewis wrote in 1837 that a pagan judgement seat, druid's circle and altar stood close to Caherlag church, yet no trace or exact spot remains. The stones may have been roadwork, quarrying or forgetting. What is certain is that Rowgarrane once held a shape serious enough to be judged beside, and that shape has vanished.

According to Lewis (1837, vol 1, 242) 'the remains of a pagan judgement seat, druid's circle and altar' existed close to Caherlag church (CO075-00502-), but no further details given; exact location not known.
