On W bank of Awbeg river. Early 19th-century house of 2 storeys over basement, built by Arthur Grove Annesley (Bence-Jones 1978, 5); house still occupied by Annesley family. Entrance front (W) of 7 bays; central wooden porch with engaged Doric columns and entablature. Irregularly fenestrated garden front overlooks River Awbeg to E. Steeply pitched hipped roof with central valley; projecting eaves. Flanking garden front are two stable courts. Walled garden to N; river garden to E laid out in first half of 20th century. Ornate castellated entrance gate lodge to NW by Benjamin Woodward (Howley 1993, 240); main entrance and second gate lodge to S. Much of parkland and demesne wall intact. Private burial ground (14062) and short cist (11935) on demesne to N.
