An Caiseal Stone Ringfort

Marked as a single-ringed 'Fort' on the OS 6-inch maps the site now consists of a subcircular platform 33.5m in diameter, from .5m to 3.3m above the surrounding land. Stones are incorporated into the edges of the platform but probably most of them have beep robbed to build the adjacent field walls. The site is located on a small hill at the base of the E side of the N-S valley of the River Aighe, on the margin between good and rough land.
