Bracky Bridge — Report the wrong picture

Double-arch bridge, built c.1800, over Bracky River, having rubble limestone walls with remains of lined-and-ruled render, possibly widened to southeast side. Soffits and arches to southeast elevation remade in shuttered concrete. Rendered copings to parapets, triangular stone cut-waters with rendered plinth and stone copings. Round arches with cut-stone strong impost courses, rendered voussoirs to northwest elevation, and flanked to each end by stone piers with straight vertical joint to meeting with arches. Recent repairs to northwest parapet.

Bracky Bridge is an attractive limestone bridge and a fairly substantial structure with two wide arches. It is functional and robust and remains in good condition. The construction and detailing represent traditional masonry craftsmanship. It is set in pleasant landscape near Edergole.
