Amy James-Kelly

Amy James-Kelly, born 15 November 1995 in Antrim, Northern Ireland, is a Northern Irish actress who gained prominence as Maddie Heath in Coronation Street (2013–2015) and has since starred in Jericho, Safe, Gentleman Jack, The Bay, Three Families, Everyone Else Burns, Blood, Sex & Royalty, and Military Wives. She moved to England as a baby, spent her first year in Catterick, North Yorkshire, then settled in Failsworth, Greater Manchester, where she attended The Blue Coat School, Oldham, and took extra-curicular classes at the Manchester School of Acting. Her career began in theatre productions of Beauty Manifesto, Trojan Women, My Fair Lady, and Frank and Ferdinand before her television debut in December 2013; she left Coronation Street in June 2015 when her character was killed off, saying she was young, adventurous, and eager to explore and improve her craft.
