The Amsterdam was a Dutch East India Company (VOC) ship, wrecked in 1694 near Yarmouth, Isle of Wight, after striking the Goodwin Sands. It was lost with all 237 crew members, making it one of the most significant maritime disasters of the late 17th century, and its wreck is now protected under the National Heritage List for England.
