Amphitheatre Buttress is a sea cliff composed primarily of Silurian greywacke, formed around 440–420 million years ago through sedimentation and subsequent tectonic uplift. Its notable amphitheatre-like shape is the result of differential erosion along bedding planes and joints, creating a striking and distinctive coastal landform.
