Craig yr Ysfa is a sea cliff composed primarily of Silurian greywacke and slate, formed around 440–420 million years ago during sedimentary deposition in a deep marine environment. It is notable for its exposure of ancient volcanic and sedimentary rock layers, which contribute to the geological heritage of North Wales.
