Aharinagh Castle (in ruins) — Report the wrong picture

Aharinagh Castle stands in ruins at Ballybrack, County Clare, a forgotten stone anchor in the western landscape. Its walls have surrendered to time and weather, leaving behind a shadowed frame rather than a finished house. The castle may have served as a defensive stronghold or a noble residence, but its exact purpose has faded from memory. What remains is a quiet invitation to imagine the lives that moved through its chambers before the stones fell silent.

Aharinagh Castle was built in the 16th century by the O'Donovan family, a Gaelic Irish clan prominent in the region. It is remembered as an example of late medieval tower house architecture in west Munster.
