The Afton was a Scottish steamship that sank in 1896 near the Isle of Cumbrae, Ayrshire, after colliding with the paddle steamer *Clyde*. The collision resulted in no loss of life, but the Afton was wrecked and declared a total loss. It remains a noted wreck site of significance to maritime history in the Firth of Clyde.
