Adam O'Reilly

Adam O'Reilly was born in Cork city on 11 May 2001, the place where a young midfielder first learned that fairness matters more than victory when he passed a penalty to the opposing keeper. He later played for Derry City, wearing number eight and scoring ten goals in one hundred and twenty-one appearances. The birthplace remains ordinary on its surface, but it produced a man brave enough to refuse an unfair gift before he ever touched a professional pitch.
