Marianne kept the workhouse kitchen, feeding children until fever took her in 1849. They buried her beyond the laundry, not in the church yard, because she was poor and the children were forgotten. Her plate is missing now, but the workhouse itself still stands with her name absent from every room.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as Workhouse Burial Grounds. Recorded period: C19TH. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
