A picturesque former gardener’s lodge located in the Peoples' Garden, built c.1865 to designs by Enoch Trevor Owen, who was responsible for several lodges within the park. Although now largely screened from public view, the lively roof line, ornamented with clustered chimneystack and decorative dormers, enriches an otherwise modestly-scaled lodge, providing an attractive architectural element within the context of Phoenix Park. Other elements of note include the latticed Gothic-revival windows. The Lodge makes an important contribution to the rich and varied architectural heritage of Phoenix Park.
