Detached three-bay single-storey former gate lodge to Woodstock House, built c.1850, now in use as a house. The building is finished in render. To the east rear there is a recent lean-to conservatory. To the north there is a single-storey canted bay with a hipped roof. The sheeted front door is set within a segmental-arched opening. This in turn is set within a broken-based pedimented projecting bay. Window openings are also segmental-arched and have timber casement frames with margins. The hipped roof is finished with natural slate and cast-iron rainwater goods. The house is set beside the replacement gate screen.

A well preserved modest gate lodge which adds interest to the local landscape, and, combined with the main house has considerable group value.
