Windham Wyndham-Quin, 4th Earl of Dunraven and Mount-Earl, was born in 1841 at Adare Manor in County Limerick. He was the only son of the 3rd Earl and Florence Augusta Goold, entering the world inside the ancestral home of a family that blended Gaelic-Irish nobility with English inheritance. That chamber gave birth to a man who would hunt in Colorado, fight in the Boer War, and sit in the Seanad, carrying the weight of two nations across a lifetime.
