Willie Law reaches an elevation of approximately 305 metres and is part of the Cheviot Hills, a range forming a natural border between England and Scotland. Its geology consists largely of volcanic and metamorphic rocks, typical of the region's ancient terrain. The hill is significant for its role in local landscapes and as a reference point in the upland areas of Northumberland.
